Activities - Student Projects - Web Page Design
First, second, and third-year students have learned proper basic HTML, XHTML, and CSS coding as well as aesthetically pleasing web page design. During the first six weeks, they were challenged with creating from scratch different web pages. Below are a few of the projects from the past few years.
In this first project from Spring 2005 semester, teams of students created a website using Notepad, Internet Explorer, and their creativity. Students were challenged to incorporate JavaScripts and Cascading Stylesheets in their coding to produce various user friendly features on their site.
These are the projects:

Jeremiah Heidle, Andrew Griffith, and Andrew Langley |
Also, in the spring, students took a field trip around the campus to take various pictures using the schools digital cameras. The students used the pictures that they took to create a web site.

In the Spring 2007 semester, two teams of students created several websites using Notepad, a browser, and their own creativity. Students were challenged to incorporate Frames, JavaScripts, and Cascading Stylesheets, in their coding to produce various user friendly features on their site.
These are their projects:
Project One- Global Warming

PAM- Paige Hopf, Amanda Williams, and Matthew Spence |
Project two- Llamas

PAM- Paige Hopf, Amanda Williams, and Matthew Spence |
In Spring 2008, seven students -- divided into two teams -- created various web sites. The only tools they had were Notepad, a browser, the internet, and their imaginations. The topics were completely random and challenging.
Team 1 - DoubleDJ - Daniel T., Dustin H., and Josh U.
Team 2 - David and the Wickets - David K., Stacey G., Allison O., and Madison B.
