Courses - Resource Environmental Science


Enviromental Science is designed to last one year and to be taught in conjunction with Algebra1A during one block . This will be two, forty five minute classes during one block.  This will give the student extra time to master the information in each course. One credit in each of these courses is required for graduation with a regular education diploma. The course will include instruction in the following areas:

  • Fundamentals ecological principles
  • Human population dynamics
  • Natural resources
  • Energy sources and their use
  • Personal and Civic responsibility

Students will explore the content of Environmental Science through inquiry.This course will utilize the classroom and the outdoor classroom to meet these expectations.Students will develop a basic understanding of ecology as a basis for making ethical decisions and career choices.
